My passion. – Nutrition is my passion. I’m ‘that guy’ you see reading the back of everything in the supermarket. I like to know exactly what I’m eating so I can predict how it will affect in particular my physique and physical appearance. My areas of specialisation include nutrition for weight loss, sports performance and physical transformation. I guess we all have our own ‘thing’ and nutrition is mine! I find it both incredibly interesting and also motivating how you can completely change your physical appearance using nutrition as a tool.

When a few seconds can cost you a place on the podium, everything counts! You may instinctively try to tweak the car’s performance, but have you considered improving your own?

NOT only do I hear about the benefits of exercise and healthy living on a daily basis, whether it be on the news, in the papers or the focus of a television programme, but for 1 year at Nxtep, I have been able to see them.

From young to not so young, triathletes to horse riders, brides-to-be to pre-natal and office workers to people of leisure; the result of regular exercise and improved nutrition is extraordinary. Gains in muscle strength and endurance, fat loss, better posture, improved cardio vascular and respiratory fitness, increased flexibility and improved quality of life are the results I aim for when writing and instructing personal exercise programmes. Further, individual goals of striving for another personal best, reducing a wedding dress size or making the stairs at home feel easier make every single session unique and the progress that each Nxtep client has made is something to admire.

On Thursday 25th September, Nxtep Personal Training celebrated its official opening in style. Nxtep’s current clients and invited guests were treated to an exclusive evening of fizz, food, fitness and fashion. With champagne glass in hand, guests enjoyed a private tour of the luxury personal training studio and although demonstrations were tricky in smart attire, the state of the art equipment from Technogym still caused much attention! Laura spoke about her specific ‘Nxtep’ approach to exercise, her move from working for Matt Roberts in London to setting up her first studio here in Knutsford and her exciting ambitions for the future.

Nxtep Personal Training and Kilimanjaro go hand in hand. Since climbing the mountain herself in 2009, Laura has been encouraging many to take their ‘next step’ in exercise and lifestyle physical activity.

Both Laura and David are passionate about helping their clients reach full potential, whether it’s to improve body composition, flexibility or to climb the world’s tallest free standing mountain. Laura spoke about her own experiences of climbing the mountain and how vital structured physical training is in successfully summiting the mountain.
